| STRAIGHT POOL Straight Pool (14.1 continuous) is played with 15 balls and a cue ball. There are no set of balls, and each player can shoot at any ball on the table. The goal is to be first to pocket 21 balls. A player`s turn is over when they fail to pocket a ball or if they scratch. Intragame rackingBecause straight pool is played to a specific number of points normally far in excess of the 15 points available in the initial rack, multiple intragame racks are necessary. Breaking The break is made by Player. If a ball is pocketed on the break the player continues to shoot.ShootingA player is allowed to shoot at any ball on the table. A point is awarded for each ball legally pocketed. When one player reaches 21 points the game is over and that player is the winner.ONE POCKET The object of the game is to score points by pocketing balls into specific pockets. A point is made when a player makes any object ball into the pocket where the first ball was pocketed. The winner is the first to score 8 points. One-pocket is similar to the game of straight pool in that both games allow players to score points for pocketing balls, each legally pocketed ball earns the shooter another shot, and any object ball is a legal ball to shoot at.
Any ball pocketed on a foul is spotted. If the cue ball is scratched, it is a foul, and the cue ball must be spotted. Any balls that were sunk on that shot are spotted as well. ANY EIGHT Any-Eight combines elements of the skill sets from nine-ball, one-pocket, and straight-pool. To win this game, players must legally pocket any eight balls. What makes the game challenging is that it is a ball and pocket game with the added restriction that each color ball can only count in certain pockets.
Balls used The set of object-balls consisting of 5 Reds, 5 Blacks, 5 Yellows, plus a cue-ball
Object of the game To legally pocket any eight balls. A ball is legally pocketed only if it goes in a pocket paired with that ball's color. Any of the balls pocketed on an illegal shot will be spotted. When one player reaches 8 points the game is over and that player is the winner.BANK POOL The balls are racked in nine-ball formation, but in no particular order. The object of the game is simple: to be the first player to bank 5 balls in any order.
The key rule is that all shots must be banked - cue ball to object ball, then object ball to one or more cushions on the way to the pocket.
Any ball pocketed on a foul is spotted. If the cue ball is scratched, it is a foul, and the cue ball must be spotted. Any balls that were sunk on that shot are spotted as well.
COMBINATION POOL Combination Pool is played with 15 balls and a cue ball. There are no set of balls, and each player can shoot at any ball on the table. The goal is to be first to legally pocket 8 balls.
The key rule is that legally pocketed ball must be done with combination shot - a shot in which a ball is pocketed by an object ball (cue ball > object ball > pocketed ball).
Any ball pocketed on a foul is spotted. If the cue ball is scratched, it is a foul, and the cue ball must be spotted. Any balls that were sunk on that shot are spotted as well.SCORE-BALL Score-Ball is played with 15 balls and a cue ball. There are no set of balls, and each player can shoot at any ball on the table.
Each legally pocketed ball can bring different number of points: - If the cue ball goes to the central cushion A(+2) and then an object ball is pocketed +2 points - If the cue ball goes to the side cushion B(+4) and then an object ball is pocketed +4 points - Stripe ball to upper pocket +1 point - Solid ball to lower pocket +1 point - 2nd ball in a row +1 - 3rd and all the next balls in a row +2
Once the difference of the scores exceeds the maximum of the available points, the player with the higher score is the winner of the game.Other Games Loading... | |
